Who knew that Dermot Desmond was such a sensitive soul?
The man who blazed a trail to double billionairedom, while taking anybody down who stood in his way along the way, has now suddenly developed a phobia of tennis balls and hurty words.
Celtic is in utter chaos at the moment, and we don’t hear a word from the God King?
But lob a few tennis balls at him, some hurty words to boot, and his thick skinned veneer comes tumbling down, resulting in an 867 word missive condemning such ‘terrorism’.
Where were the statements from Desmond that mattered when the Celtic manager stated that he’d have to reflect on his position at Celtic?
Where were the statements that might have meant something when we crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers for the eight time in ten attempts?
Tell me, where were the apologies for that?
Where was the contrition from him and his board when it mattered?
Dermot Desmond has essentially been allowed to run Celtic Football Club whilst using his wealth to hide from supporters and accountability. Fans took the chance today to send a message that this arrangement cannot continue. pic.twitter.com/Dx3fubN2Xp

Nowhere to be seen.
And you know why?
Because Desmond only understands offence.
He only understands how to attack.
He does not believe his actions are something that need any kind of defence, regardless of what harm they bring to Celtic.
I’m not going to go through his statement, you can do that yourself on the official club website.
It does not deserve my time, or my attention.
I’ll say one thing though, at least he had the good sense (or coawardice) not put his name to it this time.
I read the statement last night, and all it did was trip over itself and contradict itself.
It drips of billionaire entitlement.
I’m sure that nepobaby wrote it while drinking a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape.
Honestly, I couldn’t despise the regime that runs our Celtic any more than I do now.
They are truly pathetic.
The ultimate Access of Feeble, and I owe a serious debt of gratitude to John Hughes for coming up with that title.
Because that statement yesterday evening was the epitome of feeble.
What I will say is this.
The gloves are off now.
Because if Dermot Desmond and his cronies think that the majority of the Celtic support will not stand in solidarity with the Celtic Fans Collective, they have another thing coming.
I am a member of the Collective, so as far as I’m concerned that outburst last night was an attack on me too.
Desmond underestimates how much of the Celtic support is represented by the Celtic Fans Collective.
He’s so isolated in his billionaire bubble he thinks the Collective are a minority group.
This just shows how disconnected he is from the support of this club.
How little he cares.
Now he’s going to learn.
Desmond and nepobaby do not realise they have declared war on a massive chunk of the Celtic support with last night’s statement.
From here on out this is going to get ugly.
Hearts at home is where it will begin.
The Celtic support cannot rest until these people are gone from our club.
Because they are destroying our club, and if you cannot see that now, then you are blind.
You don’t need any more evidence than the last two years, where it has tipped from managed decline into total decline
They say a line was crossed yesterday at St. Andrews, well, that statement crossed a line.
I think we all know how this ends now.
Dermot Desmond is one individual.
The Celtic support is a huge global movement.
We will win out in the end.
The only thing that statement achieved was to further galvanise our resolve to break free from Dermot Desmond’s tyrannical grip on our club.
He is the cancer at Celtic, and our club is suffering a slow and painful death while under his control.
This statement has to be the beginning of the end for the despot dictator.
It is now or never.
Are you ready?

This will end very badly for Desmond and his malignant offspring, they have effectively declared war against any fans who have the BALLS to stand up to this bunch of jumped up little tinpot tyrants, all tyrants end up going down in the same fashion ,they forget who pays the wages us ,we do not them ,stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
Fantastic article Eric…as a fellow Irishman (Belfast) it is shameful we have a cunt like DD who should identify and emphasise with our beautiful heritage and historical trauma but then he is displaying the traits of a psychopath with 35% ,’ownership’ to satisfy the symptoms of his disordered condition. MON is not the colossal intellectual people purport him to be…he trained as a lawyer but never did it in anger. Like passing your drivers license but never driving a car independently after it. He totally wings it with self deprecation comical patter to deflect his deficiencies. Never been a track suit coach (even back on the day) on the training ground on a daily basis formulating tactics but turning up on match days tracked out giving the impression and perception he is the Don. Another one of our own colluding with the stench of failure and downward decline of our beloved club… Glasgow Celtic.
