Luka Adzic could move to Celtic for just £1.5m
Red Star Belgrade forward Luka Adzic, is reportedly in contention of a summer move to Scottish Premier League Champions, Celtic and according to HITC, he is set to leave Belgrade for a fee as low as £1.5million.
The forward had been going through contract negotiations with Red Star but it is believed the talks have reached a stalemate.
In January, Luka Adzic’s agent Radojica Bozovic, claimed that Celtic were keen on bringing the talented forward to Parkhead.
Quoted by the Daily Record, he said:
I know that there is an interest from Celtic, but also some other clubs for Luka, but there was no concrete offer. We have decided Luka would leave the Red Star very soon. His father, and my godfather, Ivan talked with Mr Terzic (Red Star director of football) and the people from the club.
HITC also revealsthat Celtic are to face some competition if they are still keen to bring the 20-year-old to Scotland.
Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, PSV and Anderlecht are all allegedly interested in Adzic, whose contract is due to expire in December.
The Scottish champions have history when it comes to nurturing promising young footballers on the path to the top and Adzic could be the next young star to be wearing the green and white of Celtic next season and Brendan Rodgers could get his man for a relatively low fee.
